Greetings! This is an original photograph, taken along the shores of Andrews Lake, which is about 8 miles south of Silverton, Colorado (actually, it is between Silverton and Durango). The lake sits at 10,800 feet above sea level in the San Juan National Forest and is surrounded by the Weminuche Wilderness. There are many trails that take off from – or are very near to – alpine trails, including the 500+mile Colorado Trail. So many ways to explore, so little time!
