Hardcover bound notebook
Greetings! This is an original photograph, taken in a basement restaurant in Central City, Colorado (a town founded by gold miners in 1859; sitting at an elevation of 8,560 feet above sea level) – a very futuristic mural for such an old western town so high in the mountains!
When I was little, my mom and dad used to travel up to Central City (no gambling then) to visit the Toll Gate Bar and listen to the Queen City Jazz Band. My parents (and aunts and uncles and such) had a few beers while me and my sisters had a bunch of Colas – and, yep, with a lot of grins and giggles we even got up on the old dusty stage and sang! I have very fond memories of Central City and in spite of the semi-facelift given when they courted gambling, the heart of the town is still the same. Mountain High!
